Ayer 9 de mayo se inauguró en la Casa de Cultura de Aoiz la exposición de Jabier Villarreal.
Había visto sus archivos digitales, había visto cómo quedaban impresos (ya que se imprimieron en Luminosos Arga) pero sabía que aun quedaban unos cuantos pasos más antes de estar terminadas y listas para la exposición y me moría de curiosidad por ver su obra terminada.
Y tengo que decir que ME ENCANTO!!!!! Me fascino su manera de integrar diferentes técnicas incorporando la impresión digital y la incorporación de nuevos materiales como el dibond rayado.
En la inauguración los asistentes pudimos disfrutar de la explicación de Jabier sobre sus obras, su significado e inspiraciones.
Entre los que asistimos se encotraba el gran Xabier Morrás, al que tuve el placer de saludar y me felicitó por nuestra impresión digital!!! Fue todo un halago!!! Y aunque ya ha estado en nuestras instalaciones le invité a visitarnos de nuevo y ver nuestra nueva máquina de impresión digital!
Para quién no conozcáis la obra de Jabier Villarreal os pongo una breve descripción de sus obras y exposiciones;
Jabier Villarreal (Pamplona 1962) es artista y Profesor Titular de Creación Multimedia y Gráfica Tecnológica en la Universidad del País Vasco (Facultad de Bellas Artes). Sus últimas obras simulan paisajes dramáticos donde los personajes representan inquietantes coreografías de gestos y situaciones. Pinturas de gran formato sobre soporte de aluminio y técnicas mixtas que integran nuevas y viejas tecnologías de la imagen.
Su labor ha sido mostrada en centros como:
– Visual Arts Museum of New York
– Downey Museum of California
– Indiana University Northwest (USA)
